The BlooSee iPhone and iPad application has been updated on the iTunes App store. The application has some exciting new features and iOS 6 fixes. Along with the app update some minor changes to the web platform have been implemented to make creating events even more clear.

Tracking has made it to the application in version 2.2. Members can now track their routes on the water using the GPS on the iPhone and iPad. The tracks are saved and made visible on the app with valuable information like time, average speed, and distance traveled. The tracks can be accessed on the app or online at www.bloosee.com/tracks. Tracks can also be imported from a GPX files and made into a route on the BlooSee map for easy sharing and organization. The 2.2 update is also iPhone 5 and iOS6 ready: the bugs that were causing crashing and other glitches on iOS6 have been fixed.

We have been making adjustments to the web platform. The event infopoint has been updated. Members can now create infopoints for specific layers: conservation, diving, surfing, boating, and commercial services. We have changed the name of “Facilities” layer to “Boating and Cruising”.

We are also excited to introduce the new infopoint areas feature. Members can now create areas surrounding an infopoint. This is a great tool if the infopoint you are creating is not a single point but a surrounding area. This tool is great for mooring buoys, marine protected areas, and dive spots.

The BlooSee team will continue to update and polish both the web platform and the mobile application. Thanks for using BlooSee and providing your feedback. We have been listening and making the improvements you have been asking for. Please continue to let us know what you think about all our tools and features. Send us ideas, questions, or concerns to feedback@bloosee.com.
