How was your Summer Sailstice this year? Stories and images are pouring in and we thought we should share our Sailstice with all of you.

A few members of the BlooSee team had a fantastic day of sailing and celebrating. The day greeted us with sunny skies, warm weather, and a moderate breeze. The San Francisco Bay was active with sailors taking advantage of the favorable weather. We boarded a Hunter 42 at Pier 39 in San Francisco and cruised down to the Encinal Yacht Club to join their Summer Sailstice party. There we many boats sailing in the Alameda Estuary Stroll and we greeted every boat we passed with a wave and a smile. After we rafted up at the EYC, it was time for music, food and drinks, and plenty of celebrating. The crowd at the EYC was dressed up in their brightest colors and the Summer Sailstice booth was busy with sailors purchasing this year’s SS gear. A crowd was gathered around the boat building contest and children were lined up outside the bouncy house. It was a great day for sailors, for friends, and for families. We are already looking forward to next year’s event (and potentially Summer Sailstice Southern Hemisphere).

Share your Sailstice tales and images with the global sailing community by sending them to john@summersailstice.com. You can already check out the Clipper Round the World race’s photos here. Also, tomorrow is the deadline for the Summer Sailstice Sunset Photo Competition. If you captured one of this year’s amazing Solstice/Sailstice sunsets on camera, make sure to upload for a chance to win a GoPro and more. We hope everyone had an enjoyable Sailstice this year and look forward to seeing all of your tales and photos.
