Following the previous post about infopoint categories, let me just signal that this is closely related to the type of users we want BlooSee to have: every possible sea-lover out there. Although I am a cruising sailor, and so are other team members, we’ve tried from the start to have a broad approach to how we want people to relate to BlooSee, thinking about different user profiles than our own.
This means we’ll try to have a system able to accomodate all kinds of people relating to the sea: cruising sailors like ourselves, but also racing sailors, but then also kite-surfers as well as scuba-divers, sport fishers as well as beach relaxing holiday-makers, dinghy sailors as well as inland water sailors, and, well, you name it.
By combining the information provided by different kind of users we can aspire to have a complete a geographical database as possible. In other words, we’re designing the system we’ve always dreamt of as both sea-lovers and internet users.
